I’m not sure what the stars are saying about me these days but I imagine it would read, “brace yourself,  you’re about to crack open a strange summer coconut!” Whatever is happening up there it’s fueling some insanely productive drawing and I’m into it! I’ve suddenly taken to pencil which is weird because I haven’t drawn with pencil in forever and a lifetime ago but it’s really working for me. It feels romantic and free and a step away from my usual micro pen action. So I’m taking my pencil and going big. I have paper all over the walls and the shit is on. So far we have braids, lots of braids.  I will be doing a wall installation for an upcoming show in Philly @ Reward Project on Sept 2nd so this is looking like the beginnings of that. Oh and appropriately, i just came back from the coffee shop and realized I still had 2 pencils I had stuck in my hair from earlier that I forgot about. Opps. See your hair won’t tell. xo
